JAGUDA: Who is Duktor Sett?

Duktor Sett: Duktor Sett is a music producer, also a Nigerian and a cool guy from Cross River state Lol! I was given birth to in Kaduna state but I completed my primary school in Jos plateau State, where I also furthered my high school and college education in Federal government college Jos and University of Jos respectively, studying economics. I am the first of four children , two boys and two girls. The boys are the first and last, so the girls are secured lol!

JAGUDA: When did you start producing and what were your challenges?

Duktor Sett: Professionally I started producing in 2010, but I always knew how to play the keyboard from the age of nine years old, shout out to my Dad, who always had a live band which I was virtually a drummer, sound engineer, bass guitarist and utility personnel.

Production was and entirely new grounds for me as all my life I have been used to playing live music, I had to learn music again from a different perspective, so this was a huge challenge for me.

JAGUDA: What has been your biggest project so far?

Duktor Sett: My biggest project was the Lagos EP by Efe, this was a project I did under 1 month and it did change my life and also gave me a different perspective to music production.

JAGUDA: Has EFE’s fame and popularity affected your career?

Duktor Sett: Why not na, I mean am now fresh na, good clothes soft house lol! But to be serious it has actually opened people’s ears to hear what I do and also get to know me more, so yes my career has been hugely affected.

JAGUDA: If your were to pick, which producer and artiste would you love to work with?

Duktor Sett: Maleek Berry

JAGUDA: Tell us about your upcoming project.

Duktor Sett: OK. Though still contemplating on the name of the project, but I will call it a producer tape/ep/album. It’s going to be a 7-track record, where I feature talented acts and hopefully will be released August. The theme of this project is a “Summer Vibe” and it’s strictly targeted to the youths.

JAGUDA: What should we expect?

Duktor Sett: Let me not expose my self Oo but it going to be….. Let’s just leave it there.

JAGUDA: Any major features?

Duktor Sett: For now no, but hopefully yes.

JAGUDA: Lastly, tell your fans something about you that no one knows.

Duktor Sett: OK…. Ehhh. I like to peel yam a lot and also like to cook when I have the time.
